brutal rumor: coachella 2k11 lineup leaked, not leaked #rumorwave

as we near the official announcement, the annual coachella lineup guessing game is upon us and the internet-o-sphere has already taken to predicting the lineup based on bubbling rumors, tour schedules, album releases, iphone coming to verizon, myspace laying off employees, and statistics from past coachellas.

so as a member of the elite music blogging community, i too will construct a coachella 2k11 lineup consisting of totally uneducated guesses, wishlist rubbish, and past coachella participation factors. i have made sure to include some shitty acts since every year there are tons of barf worthy artists on the bill.

girl talk culture mash: pittsburgh name 12/7/2010 “greg gillis day”

serial infringer of copyrights greg gillis, better known as girl talk, has been rewarded for… im not sure what for… but the city of pittsburgh has officially declared december 7, 2010 “greg gillis day”.

this mashup of city-level governments, copyright infringement, unauthorized distribution, and hip alt party music as culminated to a fully unforeseen display of honor towards someone who should have been prison-raped by now for violating age-old copyright laws. so perhaps this honor is to recognize his ability to not be touched by the strong arm of law.

12/7… never forget.

girl talk releases new album, crashes internet

mash up darling girl talk has released a new album, “all day”, for free via the internet this morning and has subsequently crashed the internet due to foreseen demand. if you havent already acquired it, good luck. youre better off waiting until later in the day or doing a quick google search.

the digital album comes in two collectable formats… a single album-length mp3 or separated mp3s. girl talk states that the album is meant to be listened to as a whole but provides a listener-friendly split-up version for easier navigation. and he doesnt even ask for your email address in return! what a swell guy!

so… which version will you download?
